Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield gets set for the half term holidaymakers

February half term brings the first opportunity of the year for many families to grab some winter sun.

Torrential rain and winds in the UK has meant that many people are looking to warmer climes such as the Canaries and Egypt. As a result Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield are forecasting a busy half term period.

Thousands of passengers are expected to pass through the Airport during the school holiday period as passengers take the opportunity to fly between Doncaster Sheffield Airport and a host of destinations across Europe and beyond.

Popular routes are the wide choice of Mediterranean resorts and city break destinations available from the Airport, served by operators such as Thomson, First Choice, Thomas Cook and Wizz Air.

Steve Gill, Managing Director of the airport, said: “Many families want to get away from the miserable weather in the UK and the February half term is a great chance for them to grab some winter sunshine. This is a busy period for the airport and we all look forward to welcoming passengers ahead of their flights.

“We are known for how well we look after our passengers and preparations for the additional throughput have been underway for some time to make sure that passengers continue to have a great experience here, even when we are busier than usual.”
