A Yorkshire airport has appointed a new Environment and Community Officer to strengthen local relationships and develop its environmental credentials.
Kellie Naylor, aged 38, from Tickhill, has joined Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield from the Engineering and Environment Consultants, Waterman Group.
She said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to work at an airport which has strong community links.
“The airport has an amazing and very proactive friends group – Friends of Doncaster Sheffield Airport (FODSA) who dedicate a great deal of time to working with the community and the airport to help make people’s experience of travelling with us a smooth one.
“My appointment provides a great opportunity of working on a range of exciting projects and I look forward to making a contribution to the team.”
Steve Gill, managing director at Doncaster Sheffield Airport said: “Kellie is a very welcome addition to the team. She is extremely passionate about ensuring the airport is working with the local community and we look forward to seeing her plans for greater engagement in the coming months.
“She is also dedicated to the environmental duties she will undertake and we are sure that she will be bringing in a number of initiatives to ensure that our business is operating at the forefront of green issues.”
