Duty Free Shop gets makeover at AirportNovember 16, 2012
Passengers at Doncaster Sheffield Airport are set to enjoy a new look duty free shop when it opens next month.
The World Duty Free Shop is set to open on 10th December as part of a £200,000 refurbishment of the former Alpha Duty Free shop at the airport.
Shoppers will benefit from an increased perfume and cosmetics area as well as the availability of number of new products, all at duty free prices.
Steve Gill, Airport Director said: “It is great news that duty free shop is undergoing such extensive refurbishment and expansion.
“We are delighted that the new look World Duty Free Shop will be open just in time for Christmas.
“I am sure that shoppers will be impressed with the refurbishment and it will offer a more pleasurable duty free shopping experience at Doncaster Sheffield Airport.”
Ahead of the launch of the new-look World Duty Free shop, Doncaster residents are being given the opportunity to grab some bargains at a special sale taking place at the airport.
The event, set to take place on November 23rd and 24th, will see perfumes, make up and certain spirits for sale at significantly reduced tax-free prices.
The sale will be situated in the landside Vulcan viewing area of the airport, meaning that visitors do not have to bring their passports to gain access to this event.
Claire Thompson, Customer Sales Advisor at Doncaster Sheffield Airport said: “We are really pleased to invite the public to this annual Christmas sale following on from last year’s successful event.”
“Christmas can be a very expensive time and we hope that this sale will help to lighten the load a little.”
“We will be selling our already reasonable priced stock for even less during this two day period and look forward to welcoming all the shoppers to the airport.”
The sale will take place on November 23rd and starts at 7am until 9pm and on November 24th (9am-5pm).
