Christmas Shopping in New York or Jazz in Chicago – it’s all on the cards for Yorkshire PassengersAugust 24, 2015
Aer Lingus has announced its winter schedule from Doncaster Sheffield Airport giving passengers travelling from the region a great way to do their Christmas Shopping this year – in New York.
The winter schedule from Doncaster Sheffield Airport will see Aer Lingus flights take passengers to Dublin five times a week with onward connectivity to New York, Boston, Chicago and Toronto.
The direct service to Dublin began in May this year and has already proved to be a popular route following the launch of Aer Lingus Regional, which features connecting transatlantic flights to North America and Canada.
Chris Harcombe, head of aviation development at Doncaster Sheffield Airport, said: “The winter schedule comes on the back of very encouraging sales since the route’s launch in May and this means that our passengers can now look to book their Christmas trips to North America and Canada from their local airport.
“Passengers can clear US immigration in Dublin and therefore avoid huge queues, so it’s no surprise that the route has been so successful and we’re excited to see it go from strength to strength throughout the winter and beyond.
“Whether it is Christmas Shopping in New York, Boston in the fall, and Jazz in Chicago or the International Film Festival in Toronto – there is so much on offer over the next few months.”
From October 25 to March 26, flights will depart at 10:50 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, as well as 15:00 on Sundays, and return at 10:25 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and at 14:35 on Sundays.
