Chicago Calling as DSA heads to USASeptember 19, 2014
Representatives from Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield Airport are heading to Chicago to meet delegates from across the globe at the 20th World Routes event.
The conference, taking place from 20 to 23 September, is an annual global gathering of the world’s top airlines and airports, dedicated to discussing and planning new services. The event is expected to be the largest Routes event to date and is set to attract 3,000 high profile delegates from more than 100 countries worldwide.
Chris Harcombe, Head of Aviation Development, from Doncaster Sheffield Airport said: “This annual event is a great forum to make the case for new air services, and to find out about new market developments and up-and-coming destinations.
“Routes is an ideal platform to encourage airlines from around the world to introduce new services to Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
“Our focus at the event will be on building business connectivity and providing a wider choice of leisure destinations for our passengers.
“Already this year we’ve announced six new routes, frequency increases on a further eight routes and over 200,000 additional seats.
“In addition to this, with work on the FARRRS link road gathering a pace we have a lot to shout about at Routes this year.”
