Airport team fly out to France for Routes EuropeMarch 26, 2014
Representatives from Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield are heading to France to meet delegates at Routes Europe.
The conference, taking place from the 6th to the 8th of April, is an annual gathering of airlines and airports and an essential gathering for all aviation based companies who wish to conduct business to, from and within the European region.
Steve Gill, managing director of Doncaster Sheffield Airport said: “This event provides a fantastic forum to make the case for new air services, and put Doncaster Sheffield Airport at the front of airlines’ minds over the next 12 months.
“We will be flying the flag for Yorkshire at this year’s event by ensuring that Doncaster Sheffield Airport has a big presence. We are investing heavily in the event this year and are sponsoring a range of digital activities at the event, including the Routes Europe App for all delegates at the event.
“Routes Europe provides an ideal platform to build relationships with airlines. We were delighted to recently announce new routes to Belfast, the Isle of Man and Riga and we want to build on this, offering greater diversity of routes to our passengers.
The event brings together a wide range of airlines, airports and tourism authorities, including budget, flagship and national carriers.
“We are going to Routes Europe with the great news that work on the Finningley and Rossington Regeneration Route Scheme (FARRRS) is now underway. FARRRS will see a new link road from Junction 3 of the M18 serve the south-east of Doncaster, making a trip to the airport even easier for those travelling from all areas including Sheffield, Rotherham and further afield,” added Steve.
