Useful information on how to get to the airport by public transport
Doncaster train station: regular services connect to/from Sheffield, Leeds, York, Newcastle, Darlington, Hull, Scunthorpe, Retford, Lincoln Central and many more. London Kings Cross is only 1 hour 35 mins away too.
From Doncaster train station walk to the Interchange and catch the 57a or 57c bus service which drops off at the Doncaster Sheffield Airport terminal.
Sheffield train station: From Sheffield, connect onward to Doncaster train station or catch the 737 bus service from the Sheffield Interchange to the airport terminal. For more information read below.
Buses to/from Doncaster: the 57a and 57c bus services stop directly at the airport terminal and terminate at the Doncaster Interchange. Both services operate 7 days a week from approximately 5am until midnight, with a slightly reduced service on Sundays. Journeys take between 18 and 48 minutes depending on the time of day. Buses to/from Sheffield: Service 737 departs from the Sheffield Interchange (near to the train station), stopping at Bramley and Wickersley in Rotherham, then onto the airport terminal and takes approximately 45 minutes. This service is particularly useful for evening Wizz Air and Flybe flights. Click here for the timetable.
