Useful information on how to get to the airport by public transport

By train

Doncaster train station: regular services connect to/from Sheffield, Leeds, York, Newcastle, Darlington, Hull, Scunthorpe, Retford, Lincoln Central and many more.  London Kings Cross is only 1 hour 35 mins away too.

Walk to the Interchange and catch the X4 bus service direct to the airport terminal, which runs daily approximately every half hour and takes around 25 minutes. 

Sheffield train station: To connect from Sheffield catch the 737 bus service from the Sheffield Interchange at stand C3, direct to the airport terminal (service commences 2nd September 2017, for more information read below).

By bus

Buses to/from Doncaster: the X4 shuttle bus runs between the airport terminal and Doncaster Interchange from stand 1A.  The service operates 5am until 12am Monday to Saturday, as a limited stop service, every 30 minutes - and hourly on Sunday. Buses to/from Sheffield:  Service 737 departs 8 times day from the Sheffield Interchange, and 7 times a day from the airport, taking approximately 45 minutes.  This service is particularly useful for early morning and evening Wizz Air and Flybe passengers.

  • Departures from Sheffield - 0445, 0545, 1630, 1725, 1830, 1930, 2050, 2150
  • Departures from the airport: 0850, 1725, 1825, 2000, 2100, 2145, 2245

Note - Service 737 commences 2nd September 2017.
