Dazzling architecture, the coolest dance clubs and even an enchanted forest – this Romanian city is out of this world
Set in the heart of Transylvania, Cluj-Napoca can trace its roots back to the Roman empire. It's a city with a sense of grandeur, full of baroque buildings, a majestic cathedral and a stately national opera house. Nowadays, it is also a vibrant university town and nightlife centre. From high-end cocktail bars to pulsating dancefloors, Cluj has it all. Nature lovers should take a trip to the nearby Hoia Forest – but do be careful, apparently it's a hotspot for aliens and paranormal activity.
